More Fort Kits

More kids birthdays means more fort kits.  I seriously love giving this as a gift.  Don't you think our kids have enough toys already???? How about a sheet set, flashlight, popcorn, and clothespins?  What do you have??? Hours of fun and useful things for the house.  Clothespins make great chip clips.  Who doesn't need an extra pair of sheets for your kids bed or a flashlight?  My friends have told me that it has bought them time to do chores and actually has gotten them to get their kids to bed on time.  My friend Anna reported to me that she made a fort over her son's bed and has had no difficulty getting him to lay down.

When my sister told me that my nephew Ethan would love to get 49er sheets for his bed I was shocked!  A kid that wants sheets instead of toys for his birthday????  Well she gave him a 49er blanket and he freaked out!  He is a major football fan and a serious 49er fan.  Here is the fort kit I made Ethan:

 The next kit was a recent birthday gift for one-year-old Ashley.  She is going to be transitioning from her crib to a big girl bed soon and what better gift than sheets?  Also, kids love flashlights.  Best gift, and if the lights go out, you have one on hand to use in case of an emergency, except that it is your kids very own flashlight.  Very fun!

Did I mention that you need to add popcorn?  It is a must!  All of the items for the fort kit I got at Target.  There is even a cute popcorn container I got in the $1 section.  Add microwave popcorn and you're a kids best friend.  Check out my other fort kit post here.

Ethan's Birthday Banner

I have made another banner! This time it is for my oldest son Ethan. He is a huge 49er fan and I think I was able to create something he will enjoy hanging over his bed after the birthday party. I made the banner using Stampin' Up paper (love their cardstock), Stampin' Ups new Chevron embossing folder, Cricut cartridges- Doodlebug Font, Sports Mania, and as always Country Life (for the actual banner pieces).  Then I just added the 49er stickers.

Ethan's MDS Birthday Invite

I can't believe my oldest is going to be 8!!! He just started 3rd grade and a new soccer season too!  So we have been quite busy over in the Enns house.  Among all the back to school stuff we also needed to plan Ethan's birthday party.  I love MDS because it helps me be crafty in a jiffy.  Ethan is having his birthday at SkyWalk (a trampoline gym) and is super excited.  Here is the card I created.
I found an image online of the actual place and then added text over it.  I did the same thing with the inside.  I then had the images printed at my local Walgreens.  I was able to complete it by gluing them to some card stock and done!  Cute, crafty, and easy.

Happy Belated Birthday Gary!

So I am a little late, but better late than never! Here is the birthday card I made for my BIL. I tried to combine his love of cleaning with his love of scrabble. He is a big 409 fan by the way and always a great gift to give him when at a loss. I did also find a couple t-shirts for him that are super funny. Nicole will have to post those once he gets them.

We had a girls day with a few friends and I decided to give a thank you note to JC for hosting it.

This is a CASE from the recent Stampin' Success Magazine and SU Demonstrator Sue Nurnbergerr's card was featured.

I loved it and changed the flower part just a little. There was a lot of embossing on this card and I really like the outcome.

I had a great time with the girls and JC liked her card.

So inspired!!

 Recently I took a cool class with my upline Niki where we made a bunch of different flowers.

It totally inspired me to make more flowers.  Many of the flowers were made with a glue gun.  How is that for cheap adhesive? 

As promised I am showing you the wine topper for my co-worker Sue B. The flower I made is from the Stampin' Success magazine SU demonstrators get in the mail every month.

 Glue gun (check) Silicone Craft sheet (check) Awesome flowers (check!).  It was so easy to just put the glue on the silicone sheet and add the paper petals then peel it off the silicone sheet and add to my project.  I am loving my glue gun right now.

Where will we 'bee' without Sue B?  This was MDS'd to match my project.  Need a little sentiment but don't have the stamp for it?  My Digital Studio is the way to go.  We have a new MDS 2 that came out and it is amazing!

Why am I smiling though?  It is that cute little bee!  How about a little punch art? Everything needs googlies now that we are selling adhesive backed googlie eyes.

Some wire to pop out the bee that is buzzing around the flower.  I had so much fun making this project.  Sue B. really liked it!

You will "bee" missed!

One of my coworkers Sue B. is moving to another department.  She is Sue B. because we have a lot of Sue's at work.  We had a potluck and my unit gave Sue B. a bottle of wine and a card.  Here is the card:

Blossom punch and 1 1/4 scallop circle punch (one of my new fav combos).  Look at how well they partner.  

Our department is so grateful for Sue B. and how she has supported us.

I had to stamp little bees on the bottom of the card for Sue B.  She will definitely 'bee' missed!

Stay tuned for the wine topper that goes with the card.  It made me smile while I was making it.
