LOVE- butterfly

How about another Valentine's card?  This one could make a great Anniversary card too.  I love this design Andrea came up with.  Simple and quick.

How about those cute little butterflies.  They were made from the bitty butterfly punch.  Add a little bling and look how they pop.

Here is my version of Andrea's card.  I don't have the Typeset Alphabet Bigz die set.  So I used the Morning Post stamp set and some DSP from the leftover Houndstooth and Scaringbone DSP I have.

Again, I think Andrea is the winner here.  What do you think?

LOVE

Valentine's is approaching fast and I decided to make a Valentine's card to share at our girl's Craftsomniac night.

These colors just seem like Valentine's right?  Pink, red, and white.  Or should I say  pretty in pink, raspberry ripple, and whisper white.

A little peek-a-boo window with a heart?  Yes, please!

Here is Andrea's version using the new More Amore Specialty Designer Series paper.  Look at how different it looked with the paper change.  I love it!!

If you ask me which of the two cards I like the best, it would be Andrea's.  It just seems to pop with the pool party (blue) color.

A Crafty Night

Recently, I attended a stampin' night at my friend Niki's house.  Our Craftsomniac's group got together.  It was so fun!  Everyone brought a project to share.  You would think that I would have been a craftin' like crazy, but instead I was talking and enjoying some girl time.

Here is the project I attempted.  It was a beautiful card by my friend Lorraine.  You can check out her blog here.

So this is as far as I got!  Lol!  I know, I was just wanting to hang out and talk.  Tee hee

Good thing my sister finished the card.  She was craftin' away!  She kept bugging me to make some cards.  Sigh!  Now I wish I had.  However, the next day, Andrea got me craftin' a little so stay tuned for some projects.

Happy Birthday

My friend Niki made me such a wonderful card for my birthday.  I love her style and the card she made me was so beautiful.

What you don't see is the cute tea pot that is hidden by the paper.  I noticed it right away.   This new paper the Tea for Two DSP is soooo my favorite!  I am really loving the buttons you can get for free during this sale-a-bration Stampin' Up Promotion.  I love the texture of them.  Do you want more of Niki's amazing creations?  You can check out Niki's blog here.  She is an amazing artist and I always check out her blog first on my blog roll.

You suit me to a tea

Okay, it was my birthday recently, and usually I don't make a fuss.  Normally I pretend it doesn't exist.  But this was a major one!  I turned the big 4-0!  Crazy!  I had a great birthday and it made my day to get some wonderful handmade cards.  This one is from Chan and I totally love it!

How about a card and some tea?  Tee hee!  I love the theme of the card and the colors.  The best thing about Stampin' Up! is the how the stamp and punches go together.  Chan made this cute tea bag tag with the phrase 'you suit me to a tea' from the Tea Shoppe stamp set.  Seriously cute!!!

How about the little tea charm?  I totally love this!  Chan, I can't believe you parted with one of the cute tea trinket charms.  I feel so special!

You have to check out Chan's totally cute blog.  I do everyday!  Go to http://tworosiecheeks.blogspot.com/ Chan has wonderful projects and classes you can sign up for.

Sympathy

This card is for  my friend that has had a major loss in her family.  It was hard for me to make because you want to keep sympathy cards simple and subdued.  Make no mistake that I wanted to create something colorful and vibrant.  It just feels like I should because my friend's grandma was so sassy.  I am going to do it too.  But first, my friend will get this card.

Comfort cafe DSP on the bottom of the card.  This paper is growing on me.

A simple card with a heartfelt sentiment and prayers for a friend.

Happy Birthday Charlette!

My friend Charlette had a birthday recently and she loves butterflies.  Of course I had to make her a card with them.

Primrose petals and pool party as a combo?  I like it and it ties together with the Patio Party DSP.

I love Charlette!  Whenever we hang out, she totally makes me laugh (tee hee).  You can check out her blog here and see some of the goodies that she got for her birthday.

A birthday gift

My daughter is going to a birthday party and we found a cute metal shabby chic locker at Hobby Lobby.  Add a little paper crafting and goodies inside and the gift is done.

Close up of the little banner.  Magnets are added to the decor so that the birthday girl can remove the items or move them around the locker.  There are also clothes pins on the side with magnets to add pictures or notes.  A little stamping and punch art and the banner adds a little pizazz to the locker.

Now I just have to figure out how to wrap the gift!

Kelsey's birthday card

My daughter was invited to a horseback riding party and I could have done a cute western theme card.  But not this time.  Kelsey collects paint swatches and I came up with a card that doubles as bookmarks.

Simple swatches from Lowes and heart framelits with some yarn fibers.  Add a sentiment and card base and you're done!  Easy-peasey.  Stay tuned for her cute gift.

Zeke's birthday card

Here is the card I made for little Zeke.  Same carnival theme.  Just a simple card with left over stuff.

I have used the 'You're Amazing' stamp set a lot and I am glad I bought it.

Zeke's birthday banner

Ezekial "Zeke" just turned one and it has been a fast year.  He is an amazing little boy!  Anna and I worked on his invite for his carnival birthday and Anna asked me to do a banner for his special day.

I am loving the World Spectacular DSP and almost used all of it which is a rarity for me.  The glimmer paper for the letters is fun.  I tried to match the invite.

Here are a couple of pictures from the party:

What a lot of fun!

A little banner

Okay, I got a lot of free Christmas fabric from the Stampin' Up! Convention 2012.  I decided to make a little banner out of the fabric.  Hey, I have a ton of fabric that I need to stop hoarding and put it to use.

Here is my banner:

I love how it went with my holiday decor too!

Mittens

My mother-in-law Sharon Gunderson is quite the lady!  She can sew, knit, crochet, bake, craft, etc.  I have been learning to make lefse- a Norwegian tortilla with her help during the holiday's.  I have also been knitting along with her.  My goal this year?  Make a blanket.  But that's for another post.

Here are some of the mittens my MIL has been knitting.  Check it out:

How cute is she?  Thanks Nana for the cute mittens.  Mine?  They will be tucked in my favorite jacket pocket ready to use just in case.

Tee hee!
